Made from molds that are on average 100yrs old, these stunning glass buttons are produced individually by a very small group of artists in the Bohemian provinces of the Czech Republic.
Once a thriving business with many producers, these buttons are now part of a fading cottage industry and only kept alive by those who see their beauty and artistic appeal.
Each of these little beauties has been handpainted, the buttons with gold are painted with 24k gold and the buttons with silver are painted with platinum. 5th June 2007 So I have plenty more designs in my head to make and just as many to photograph. I am also still in the process of adding all my newest items, but you will find that I am going a bit slower in the next week or two as I managed to cut the tip of my thumb off! *OUCH* But not to worry I will still be pluggin along behind the scenes to get you more pretties :) With the Canadian dollar so strong I have just fixed the site to take the US and Canadian Dollar at PAR! Worldwide shipping is $5.50, this is for one piece or if you buy everything from my store :) *my fingers are crossed for that day* 27 May 2007 New items are being added all this week!! I have added a few new pairs of earrings over the weekend, all items that have been added recently have ***NEW*** in their title. But don't let that fool you as some of the 'older' pieces are actually quite new to the site as well. Big News!!!!! My 'English Garden' necklace was featured on the front page of www.etsy.com on friday!!! What a nice suprise to wake up to.
25 May 2007 The new site is up, well it has been for a few weeks but I havent gotten around to announcing the fact yet to the general public :) If you have been here before you will notice a few changes. Originally this was going to be a whole site redesign, but after many versions I realized that personally I liked the design of the old site best. So we now have a new and improved BFlirty! While most changes are in our administration area you will find little tweaks that have been done to make the site so much better. in the earrings section you now have the choice to pick what type of earring wire you want, and you will find that the ordering system is much easier (I hope!) |
